Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required
License/certification:
Required to maintain current Wisconsin Registered Nurse Licensure.
Obtain and maintain
certification in clinical research when eligible.
Maintain Basic Life Support (CPR)
certification.
Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:
Prefer prior research experience, prefer prior nursing experience.
Principal duties:
This position will assist the Principal Investigator in conduct of NIH and clinical trial research in accordance with Good Clinical Practice, unit SOPs, and applicable clinical research federal regulations in the Allergy, Asthma and Pulmonary Clinical Research Unit. Duties will include but are not limited to: recruitment of subjects; obtain informed consent of subjects; screen and schedule subjects; perform study visits; perform study procedures (PFT's, vital signs, skin testing, ECGs, methacholine challenges, antigen challenges, phlebotomy, collect process and ship lab samples); maintain accurate and complete Investigational Product Accountability; maintain accurate and complete source documentation and case report forms; administer medication (standard and investigational) includes IH, IN, PO, IV, SQ, IM; assess and monitor subjects during challenge procedures (includes antigen, methacholine, exercise); oversee employees with delegated responsibilities.
